Thanks for all the great replies. I have bought a few needlefish and a jurenese cat
and I'm going to see if these help the problem at all.

As I said before, anyone in the area and wants some feeder minnows just let me know
and I'll net you all you need.

Garry

Good luck and keep us posted on the outcome.

I would add some jack dempseys. they are beautiful cichlids that dont get too big. BUt man... awesome pond! I wish I had 6 of those here in MN.

I may try the jack dempseys.. The weather is a little cold here but the pond is deep
and the aretesian water is around 60 degrees so everything seems to be healthy.

I will continue to dip some of them and put them in the canal let some bass eat em.

The needlefish are making it so far, its amazing how their camoflague works.

again thanks for all the helpful comments

Just out of curiously, how did those fish get into the pond? Were they already in there?

I know of a pond in Orlando that has thousands of Jack Dempseys, so if you are anywhere near or south of Orlando the temp shouldn't be a concern as these have been in this pond for years now.

Moving a native fish from a natural pond to a natural canal is considered "releasing" it?
