Too many Oscar's dying around here

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What a stereotype. Some people on here have fish that they have had since they started with the hobby. Oscars usually die to HITH or jumping out of the tank. Saying that the whole of mfk treats their oscars badly is a really bad thing to say.

You mean Bodymore, Murdaland?
nice , right out of the wire

EDIT:With a huge 20 posts under your belt you take a pot shot at the whole forum ahhahahahhaha

Dude let me cook you up a huge CHILL PILL!!!!!!

You really need to stop using such a broad brush when you try to paint pictures!!!!!!!

Really with so many members on this forum you can make such a BS post as your opening one. I just had a oscar of 11 years old that died so pretend im a wind instrument -FIGURE IT OUT

Oh yeh and get back to me when you have an oscar over 6-8 years old.

I don't spend my time showing all of the fish I keep as the real world dictates somewhat how I use my time

I like how the OP makes a rash generalization about an entire forum and then doesn't respond in the thread again.

I have no idea what goes on at big fisheries. I am assuming that most of the giant nationwide pet stores buy their fish from a few of these big suppliers. Who knows how much inbreeding and genetic problems are being created by big fisheries. Again, the problem could be much bigger or smaller than I realize since I really have no idea how the process occurs.

How did you arrive at the 6 year figure? Did you take a poll, or did you just see a few threads with 6 year old dead oscars and draw the conclusion that everyone's a sorry fishkeeper? Naturally you're going to see more threads with people having problems with their oscar or dead oscars since asking for help is one of the primary functions of an internet forum.

Good job insulting one of the best fishkeeping forums with a blanket statement based on incomplete information.

I agree. Good post. I also figure in the fact that oscar's are probably the most kept fish out of the cichlid family, and that alone will mean there will be more deaths.

even though this is repetitive and this threads going to be filled with these:

with statements like that maybe you have something to back up your arrogance/ignorance.

Learn about genetics before you post something so ignorant. You have no idea what your messing with when you talk to this forum like that, telling some 60k members we don't know how to keep an Oscar. L2keepfish nab.

With just 20 post you have managed to make 13 threads. 2 of which have been closed due to opening posts that were uncalled for. This thread will take that total to 3. I think maybe you need to re-evaluate the way you approach members and or subject matter on this board. Etiquette and tact are great personal skills to have, even in the cyber world.;)

But shouldn't a femine cleansing device like this person be allowed to post

edit: at this second i see the person reading their own thread so go ahead post up friend
