These fishies live 10-18 years, but for some reason the ones in this forum barely make it to 6.

I think you guys need to reevaluate your husbandry. I'm not trying to sound brash, but it's something I've noticed for a while.

In spite of some of the comments from people who's post counts make them obviously smarter than you (haha!), I don't have a problem with your statement.

I mean $%&#, many of the fish featured on this site shouldn't be in home aquaria at all, much less for 6 years. I'm not nearly as concerned about Oscars as I am about the ignorance of attempting to keep an arapaima in your bedroom!

haha i was browsing this guys 20 posts to maybe give him a second chance and not judge him off this post...but then i realized he started the UNDERstocked tank thread about his lone "convict, in 50 gal"...AFTER he added a thread about his new firemouth addiction and how the store he got it from must have housed it with some mean fish that tore its fins up AFTER he posted a video of his "convict claiming the 70 gallon to himself" and gettin physical with the firemouth. haha sillyness.

I don't know what video you were watching. The Convict never got physical with the Firemouth. He went after the Blue Acara.

My lone Convict now is true, because I ended up getting rid of the Blue Acara and Firemouth before I made the UNDERstocked thread.

Almost there, Inspector Gadget.
