ruck fules has it dead on with his comment...even though this debate has raged for years and many different threads its all in fun and there are alot of new people in the hobby with different opinions and experiences, so really they can search through old threads and bring them back or start a new one...makes no difference to me. that said about the only bad azz one that has eluded me....for some reason is the red terror so i have no experience with them. the rest on most lists i have kept.
my personal most aggressive fish was a 16 inch buttikoferi, he destroyed dividers, banged glass when he even thought someone was close and killed my 12 inch dovii with 1 blow. next would be my dovii, a female flowerhorn i had years ago allowed nothing in its tank, i tried to use a male auratus and 2 large male cons as dithers for my grammodes pair and the male auratus litterally tore the hell out of the cons and the grammodes..he had to go be a feeder for my big boy tank. haits, umbees, they are nasty when they reach size, rds can be nasty too. really as you said in your opening post it all depends on the individual fish.
