In this particular thread the only limitations on our choices are "bad boys"...

SO I'd insist Blue Whale, Lions and Elephants would be on the list...

If we are only talking Cichlids then I'd pull up a species list for the genuses Amphilophus & Paracromis...

If we are limiting ourselves to freshwater fish then chances are it will be most if not all large growing catfish...

If we include salt water then we have to debate on whether or not sharks are included and I'll just be honest, salt water is a bit out of my league and I'm not willing to throw out my speculation on the subject...

Buttikoferi cichlid,and red devil's own all dovii's are pretty mean too. but the butti and devil were born to kill.
 
I say jag has to be in the top 3. Mine is living with 2 jd's over double his size, 2 severums over 3 times his size and a pike cichlid about 3 times his size and he is owning them all.
 
pound for pound toughestfish ive had was a 3 inch jewel, killed a 4 inch salvini, a 4 inch jd and another jewel, only thing that survived was a blood parrot- go figure

I don't know how convict and jack dempsey can be listed without green terror on the list. Every GT I have had eventually wants to kick the crap out of my JD and Convicts. Also, I had an oscar one time that was scorned by a male I had and after that she was so aggressive I had to have someone hold her in the net when I cleaned the tank. She would actually jump out of the water to try to bite me too. If anyone is curious, it was a female tiger that was dumped by a male tiger for a red. She did not like that at all.
