MLF requires a lot of training, finger strength, dexterity, agility, reflexes, hand-eye coordination. Technically it is a sport, just not in the traditional sense

technically they can, but it wouldn't attract many viewers (unless you were showing it in eastern europe). MLG, however, is attracting more an more people. I just wish they gave more consideration to the world's #1 Sport...FOOTBALL (soccer)

I was kidding. I would rather snort Pixie Stix then waste my time watching that crap. I mean who really wants to watch someone play a video game? They're far more fun to play then watch. ;)

LOL, I agree with you 100%. I am curious though about the current popularity of competitive gameplay in the US. I know the madden ESPN tourney offers $100,000 as prize money, and attracts many thousands of players. I don't know where ESPN is getting their statistics from, but they are betting it gains popularity. If it does, then they have first pick of advertisement and coverage of the event, thus yielding more $$$ for them.
