I normally stay out of these discussions but after witnessing firsthand a
Pittbull
attack on my friends dog I will have to disagree. Sadly the owner of the Pitt was also a friend who is not a bad owner in my eyes.
Everytime
I saw the dog he was a big sour puss and very friendly. He got out of his yard one day and just decided that it would be fun to run down the street and tear up the neighbors dog, to DEATH. And no the dog did not provoke the
pitt
, she was on a tie out taking a crap minding her own business.
I read the horror stories in the paper about a Pitt getting out of hand and mauling a small child and a lot of times I will read in the story. Paraphrase "I don't know what happened, he was such a nice dog, we raised him well, he always did well with children, and etc....."
Pitt Bulls were "bred" to be fighting dogs. It's in their blood and there is nothing you can do to change that. I'll totally agree that proper upbringing will help to alleviate problems but there is absolutely nothing in the world you can do to stop a
pittbull
from having a bad day and tearing the **** out of something or someone. And you never know what the trigger may be or when it may happen if ever. You can bet your butt though that every
pitt
is "capable" of it though, it's what they were bred to do.
There are tons of
pitt
owners who will never have a problem. Those owners are the lucky ones.
Slame
me, bash me, hammer me, flame me, I don't care. Those are the facts Jack
