Great update JL! Is the 24 in her your largest one? And it still amazes me seeing them kept together, I love it. Keep up the good work. And grinch are supposed to be a little aggressive from my understanding, they've got some teeth as well, any issues as far as he goes?

Thank you! Yes, the 24" is the biggest of the group, and the most aggressive feeder. It's the first and perhaps the only one that will go after a whole fish at every feeding. Others usually wait for the cut up pieces. The goonch are not too bad. They keep to themselves. I have more problem from the apurensis. It likes to push the Aimara around, especially during feeding time. I just did water change and decided to take some pics to show the difference between the ones from Venezuela vs Aimapa. My autocorrect really messed that post up... Lol I meant incher, and goonch, my apologies

Nice, and I've read that those two variants commonly behave different towards people and other fish. Ones more aggressive towards people while the other more aggressive towards fish, can't recall which way it went, but do you notice anything at all, or would you say the difference is the specific fish if any? I like the darker black of the amapa Imo. That apurensis looks huge! So far I enjoy seeing your tank and DBs the most, so different from everyone else's, daring.

Darker ones the Amapa?

I thought Goonch and Hoplias didn't mix well? This is interesting!

Yes, the darker one is Aimapa. Behavior on both are about the same. They both don't like human at first, but settle down through time. I still don't trust them. They still go after net once in a while, but they hardly flare when they see my mug. They tolerate the Goonch, but they took down tigrinis, lince, and iridescent in the past.

Wow.. didn't know you had that many wolves! drool...
I have 5, V, 2 Venezuela and 3 Aimapa. I thought I mentioned it to you when I was at your place. I had 7 at one time, lost 1 sold 1
