Total Number Of Fish On MFK

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
One of them likes to hide alot. He'll swim with the shoal for a bit and go back into hiding. Their first night here, I woke up in the morning, couldn't find him and thought "Oh sheeeet...they ate him."

Found him in my pothos roots. :D
The hiding one it's the weakest one in group and due to his "anti social behave" it will more likely to get kill by others :D
If you want them feel more comfy then add more floating plants or you could use some low output spot light to create some shade area, put more plants in your tank, beware all that just reducing the skittish in them but not guarantee to make them have similar personality like other fishes.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. :headshake

I set up a blackwater biotope for them. Temperature is around 77, lights are dimmed and they have plenty of hiding spots.

Hopefully that will help with the aggression.

Sounds like a good place for an ambush! :D What are they eating?

Ha!! I'm feeding them a plethora of frozen fish of all kinds. And they don't seem to like pellets so they're getting them in my specially made gel food with vitamins and veggies and all that good stuff.

Oh and guess what? They ate in front of me for the first time last night!!! :woot:

Oh, another trick for these fish is when you come to the tank for view then try to drop some foods in (small portion only) and stay there, soon they will learn that you are their food source and will come out beg for food :D....works for me all the time for many years!

Thanks...I'll try that. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a little snack! ;)
