Touch Pool

Its all about the surface area... A 4' deep 5500 gallon pool is much different than a 2' deep 5500 gallon pool. What he is saying is true though, cownose do express stress symptoms with less room to move. I generally keep my babies in a very shallow 1000 gallon till they are eating well and putting on weight then move them to a pool that is around 3000 gallons til they are around 12" in length. Then they go into a pool wit adult females around 10,000 gallons (birthing pool) until they are ready for the big show. I feel adults can be fine for life in a properly planned out 7000 gallon pool.

Ppoeschl, how would you properly plan out a 7000 gallon cownose pool?

Could you post pics?
It sounds like an amazing setup.
What would the footprint of the 7,000 gallon pool?

A quick shot of the 3000 gallon pool, I actually have very no pictures of the baby pools themselves where you can see them in their entirety, mainly because it is an eyesore and really isn't anything special as far as setup is concerned.

Wow. How many do you have?

An oval pool would be most appropriate, 2.5' deep would be fine for depth. Good turn over and filtration is a must. Of course look into pool sand filters, large protein skimmers, and heat pumps.

Is that a personal collection or is it something else?
