Toughest fish, pound-for-pound?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Common mid west creek chub.
Black stripe. I had one kill 12 same sized shad in less than 10 minutes. Survive in ice water to 90 F.

Auratus, or convict. Both are little terrors.and ofcorse flowerhorns are generally all pretty mean.

lol I have 2 right now. Ones a beast at roughly 9" and the other is catching up around 6"ish right now. I can't believe you didn't get a TON when you went to the marsh...I threw so many back haha.
Where can you get pickerel?
Thanks

The first time I went I caught a couple dozen but they were all 1" or less and the two I took home just kind of disappeared. Every time I've gone since then, I haven't caught any, or even mudminnows which were much more plentiful. I only occasionally catch a yellow perch or bowfin there when I fish it.
Catch me a pickerel! Please!

Gotta be snakeheads. When i was a kid i had a 75 gal completely over stocked (no internet or common sense back then)
Picked up two snake heads after they hit 6 or seven inches they atarted killing everything in there. Even killed a royal pleco smh

Yes snake heads are killers. I had a 16" one that broke the glass top and jumped out of tank and was on the floor there was a brick on the top also. But him back in the tank float around for a day and half and now still going at 25". Also flower horns these guys try to eat my arm if I have to go in tank for something they leave nice round teeth marks on your arm.

Toughest: Any of the Hoplias Wolf Fish species or Snakehead, they both can survive with low water quality and I believe both can survive out of water for a long period of time.

Most Aggressive: IMHO Hoplias Aimara Wolf Fish. I've kept Pirhannas and a Snakehead in the past and they have nothing on these demons. My 2 Aimaras make me want to apologize everytime I walk past my tank, lol...
