Trachy trachy

Very cool!

What's she been eating?
Massivore is the only thing I've seen her actually eat, but trout worms maybe, and if she goes up top, which I don't know if she does, she'd be getting freeze dried krill and shrimp as well. I occasionally take some shrimp when my sister cooks it to feed to the fish as a treat, so maybe she'll take that next time as well.

That's good, that's my main worry with WC fish if they won't eat. I take a shrimp occasionally as well, even danios loved it.

I usually am not worried, but the trachy looked real thin to me on arrival, and that runs the risk of her getting to the point where she could refuse to eat and just perish. So I didn't want her to refuse food for to long because she's settling and then get to that point. Thankfully she's being greedy, turned the light on last night during feeding she still came to eat.

That's a good thing. My syno sometimes comes out to eat, otherwise just hides. Everyone else has a nice and busy syno but me :(

Hopefully after a rescape all my fish come out more. I need to get a trachy someday as well they are too cool, I wish I had the money and means to get fish from Wes :p

Lol maybe he'll get more comfortable one day. My curupiras literally took half a year just to start swimming out in the open with me in the room. I'll have my finger crossed for you ;). And yea I enjoy the trachy so far, but a lot of my fish are nocturnal so I spend a lot of late nights with all the lights off and just the a candle on to see the fish. And yea wes bring in some nice rare specimens, good guy. Haven't seen him bring trachy in though. Got mine from another vendor. But I'm sure wes wouldn't have trouble getting ahold of one.

Hopefully. My knives are getting slightly comfortable with the new brighter lighting and the cat doesn't dart if I move when the lights are off.

I use a torch from my bed to watch them :p

I drool over the stuff Wes gets, and I have seen it's mostly other vendors with em.

Good to hear bro. And yea, sometimes I leave the tv on but that may be to bright, or sometimes I'll leave the tank below light on so the light reflects off the wall and I can see a little of the other tank kind of thing. And don't we all lol hopefully one day when I have my dream tank he can help me get the stock I'd want :). I hope he's still in the business when that day comes if it ever does lol. And maybe trachy aren't rare enough for him to want to bring in ;) lol

IMG_1747.JPG Hard to see with the glare etc. but was a quick pic, haven't measured her since I got her when she was 8.5". Here she is very bent and up to 9-9.5" on the ruler. So she's probably 9.5-10" now. I'd say that's pretty good growth. As greedy as she is, I'd be surprised if she didn't grow some by now. A real girthy vacuum. I mean fish lol

Only thing that's changed in her tank is no bichirs. Hopefully it won't take long to make her the only catfish as well. Trying to dwindle down the stock in my small tank.

Nice update pal, keep up the good work.
