Trading my 12'' ST for a Xanto

Pleco = maybe from $300 to $500 each.
ST = no more / $$$$
Good trade / bad trade = to each their own.

Understand that your ST will probably damage/kill the smaller aro. I had done the same with my dats (but no ST) sold/trade all the dats to replace for the aro. Good luck w/the pleco and post some pics of it.

the pleco you swapped for the ST are not that great my Friend had a pair

in the UK that pleco sells for £250-300 and they are normally the color you have chances are it will never be fully yellow

the ST is priceless

i have sold my ST twice a paid big money to get it back

like you said the ST used to follow you around begging for food the pleco wont do that

give it a few months and i can guarantee you regret the swap

hehehehehehe I'm not regretting it one bit Like I said, went to a better home...closer to the natural environment than I could give him.. Lots of swimming space should give my ST a longer lifespan I hope.. And I can always check him out few yrs later to see how much he've grown in a tank almost 3x mine!!!

Also I noticed a lot of you keep fish on the rarity/price on a fish... again.. I have an arowana thats coming and I prefer that over the ST. Unless you fools would rather keep the ST and watch the 5'' aro die.

its is each to their own but i have had many plecos from blue eye to scarlets to zebras

they just don't do anything for me anymore

you may get better coments in the pleco forum

in the dat forum the ST is the holy grail of tigers of course everyone will tell you that you were crazy to swap what more did you expect

It's cool. I'm not rich like you folks and have multiple 500g tanks laying around.. IF i did, maybe Id still have all 3 of my ST's...now im down to 0. But thats fine. Maybe later when I get rich like u folks ill have large tanks where I'll have no worries for the fish. Also, I knew what kind of comments would come at me especially in the dat forum... I'm not that dense?? LoL

im not rich and dont have many 500g tanks infact i just have 1 x 350 gal

a aro the size of the one you posted i find it hard to belive it got bullyed to death without any damage

my aro and ST have little fight every now and then it will happen in any com tank

my aro gets split fins from my ST every few months nothing more

i find it hard to belive the aro died of stress

the aro would have stopped feeding and given you some signs of stress before it just died

Actually it ate a lot the day it died.. ate a lot everyday! Yes there were no damages on the aro... but once in a while I see the aro jumping out the tank cuz the ST are chasing it... as it jumps it bangs its head on top of tank... I think it happened often overnight as well... It grew from 5'' - 10'' then passed away... showed no signs of stress but im sure banging its head over n over will cause brain trauma.. Also I had the aro with my 12'' ST since it was a 5''er....so im pretty sure it got pickd on till it grew 10''..
