You're so dumb and irresponsible. I'm 14 and I have a 600 gallon so don't use your age as an excuse for torturing an animal.

How do you know the fish will be happy in you little tank? have you asked it?

+1

You asked about whether or not you should get the fish but don't care that everybody thinks you shouldn't so I'll move along from that. Even though you aren't going to house the fish appropriately most of us will still attempt to assist you in keeping the fish as healthy as possible if you get it.

Your tank is "empty." Is it up and running with no current bioload?
Or is it up and running with a consistent high bioload to establish/maintain the nitrogen cycle at a level approximating what will be created by the new monster fish?
Or is it actually empty?

What's your filtration?

I've sincerely tried to bring some points peacefully across but it seems it was a wishful thinking from the start.

Emotions are triggered, aggression and sarcasm are thrown around the room. Then name calling begins.

I didn't mean keeping a fish in a small tank or in a tank barely it's size is feasible, but i see people are getting full of their own ideas and starting to take what i've mentioned this way.

It has nothing to do with dogs or cats with clothes nor fishes wear clothes. It is an analogy of Anthropomorphism. What i am trying to bring across is tank size is not everything.

Have you asked if a fish is happy in a small tank?
Have you asked if a fish is happy in a big tank?

This is the internet, it's read by countless people that didn't participate in this thread. I will stop here and let the reader decide what is right and what is wrong, who is the aggressor and who is making sense.

And "frankly i am quite disappointed" in how this turned out. I shall take my views somewhere where people can discuss maturely on issues before jumping into name calling and such.

This will be my last post here.

Relax and enjoy the hobby. :D

Thanks be to god!
Nobody gives a crap about what you have to say because the point you are trying to make is a stupid one.
You don't belong on monster fish keepers either.

Your point was that tank size wasn't everything. Since it was posted in a thread about a 36" arowana potentially being housed in a 125/150G tank it was taken, I think appropriately, as an endorsement of the OP's plan. There are many good reasons not to house a large fish in a small tank and I listed a couple earlier in this thread.

You talk about fish happiness as anthropomorphism and the term is appropriate. I don't want to speak for others here, but if I refer to a fish as looking happy I don't mean it as an emotion, but as a way to indicate that the fish appears well fed, healthy, and is showing patterns of behavior that indicate a general lack of stress.

As much as you are disappointed, I hope you realize there are thousands of members of this forum and only a couple resorted to name-calling or outward anger, though this is a fish forum so anger over what many here would consider animal abuse shouldn't be an unexpected response.

ok guys we started the insult i say to every one SHUT UP i do what ever i want with my fish i can grab it and kill it infront of yo all without tiggling my eyes ok??

The problem here is the fact that he is obviously getting the fish. He obviously doesn't want advice on this. People on this forum get angry because, they actually care about fish. I think it's cruel for you to cram a 36 inch fish into a 6 foot tank. It really doesn't matter how you transport it, the fish will be miserable and short lived either way. If you don't want to be flamed, don't ask stupid questions, and then argue with the people trying to answer your questions. MORON!

Two big cats going into a small empty aquarium. I don't see how this could go wrong.

Enjoy your fish while they last.
