SO! I've Made my decision final! and I'm gonna go with the Bow Front 180g tank!!! =D The tank will be delivered this thursday night!!! =D So its time for me to start making room and maybe throwing out some stuff to make room for the new 180g :cool-1::D:cool-1::D Woooooooot!!!

OMFG! I'm soo excited! :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

I'm just not completely sure as to If I'm missing a procedure to safely transfer my RTG. So this is what I think I'll need to do to move my RTG into new tank...

Once I paint the background and set up the filters, I'll fill the tank with water and bring it to temperature and ofcourse i'll prime the water. After that I will do a water parameter Test and if the water results come back all normal meaning PH ~7.6 and Ammonia 0.... Does this mean my RTG can go into the new 180g tank???

Or am I missing a step here? Is there something else that I should do to safely transfer my RTG??

Thank you guys! =D

you need to cycle the water in the new tank...

just transfer the water and filter media/bio from your old 75G to your new tank. add water gradually during water changes.

congrats on the new tank! and good to hear that your rtg is getting better.

What filters are you going to use on the 180?

I haven't went out to look yet.... At the moment I have my 2AC 110s that I'm gonna try to hang on to the sides of the new 180g. I prob need a canister filter even though I don't like them much. I have this fear of the canister leaking when no ones home. But what filter do u recommend along with my 2AC110s? I think the AC110 does 300gph? gph? Something like that I think but not sure. I know I do want a turnover rate of 8 to 10 for my new tank.

My aro's at about 21". And when I moved it to the 240 I took a couple clear large bags and submerged it in water. I worked my way around it and lifted into a bucket (just incase it pops the bag). It may panic, but I felt this way was much better then using a net. Suprisingly when I moved the aro it didn't lose any scales or receive any rips on the fins!

Oh yah I'm totally gonna do the plastic bag method to transfer my rtg. I'm just a little worried about preparing the water in the new tank

just transfer filter media and a little water from the old tank
and voila
IMO take out the filter media from the AC110s
buy a fx5 and put the ac110 media into the fx5 while adding more media of course
infact you can buy a fx5 today and actually put it on ur 75 so the media gets some bacteria and ready for your 180
