This happened to my Juruense before I added any medication though.

Now that I have treated fish with quinine sulfate, I think that is going to be the new standard treatment. At my job most barracudas get sick shortly after coming in and nearly all are treated with quinine sulfate as well. I believe that it is a very safe yet effective medication.

Good point with the Juruense, And yes I guess it is not always because of harmful chemicals but most of the time it seems to be that way. I hope your Tat makes it man!

Im looking at threads and forums everywhere and I cant find anyone else with a similar problem (with or without a solution) which kind of worries me. I do weekly 50% water changes and add recommended aquarium salt to the changes. I have a Panchax Killi male that all of sudden stopped eating and was hiding in a "cave" it worried me at first and i kept a close watch on him, he ate a little and then stopped altogether. Eventually 2 days ago he started "losing" skin.........im not sure if it is peeling off or its rubbing off. I dont think i see RAW meat yet but his skin seems pale and almost fungal but NOT FUZZY. I have treated his water with an antifungal (and the water turned green) and i have isolated him. he still retains agility to get away from me when i tried taking pictures. PLEASE IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT THE CONDITION IS AND ESPECIALLY HOW TO TREAT. HELP HELP. Its been three days and the "peeled" area is growing larger, i can see his brain and its very saddening especially since he used to be so lively.

thanks so much for your time and input.
