Treatment for ich

Marine salt will screw with your parameters. Non iodised table salt usually works

I used normal non iodised table salt
I once used normal salt in an emergency and everyone was fine too
Thanks.
May I ask at what dosage?
Was it 1 tea spoon per gallon?
How long did you carry on dosing for?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm not new to fishkeeping but rays are a recent venture for me and I want to make sure I get it right.

Best bet, remove the sick fish and treat in a hospital tank.

I thought about doing this but what about ich eggs?
Will the higher temp alone kill off any that may be in the tank?

You have to do the whole tank and kill thr entire cycle of ich. Heat and salt usually works to quicken the cycle then kill the free floating organsims

That's what I had always thought.
Saying this a lot of websites I have visited lately have advised moving the fish and treating separately.
I have treated ich in the past and dosed for the full life cycle of the parasites.
As these ray sites are recommending moving the other fish and treating separately I wondered if the eggs die off with raised temps?
