That's what I had always thought.
Saying this a lot of websites I have visited lately have advised moving the fish and treating separately.
I have treated ich in the past and dosed for the full life cycle of the parasites.
As these ray sites are recommending moving the other fish and treating separately I wondered if the eggs die off with raised temps?
I believe the eggs would hatch faster

Thanks.
May I ask at what dosage?
Was it 1 tea spoon per gallon?
How long did you carry on dosing for?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm not new to fishkeeping but rays are a recent venture for me and I want to make sure I get it right.
To the best of my knowledge with ICH you have to treat the whole tank
I have used 2 to 3 tablespoons per 5 gallon depending on the severity of the infestation
Temp raised to 30 deg

Pleasure
Just continue with wter changes and if you have substrate, do gravel vacs
Remember to replace salt in the new water

To be safer, dose at a few hours interval until you reach the requiered dosage

I've got mixed feelings on salt with rays. Definitely premix it. I've had rays take the high heat salt method without issue, just be ready for increased bioload and eating. Rays don't seem overly prone to ich and ich is obviously more effective against weakened immune systems. I'm sure you've got your heater guarded but I'll mention it anyway.

Thanks for the input.
I am a little nervous about adding the salt as this is my first ray but I will do as advised in this thread.
Heater guards were the first thing I bought when I knew I was getting a Ray.

Ok,now I'm a little confused.
I've just been stood in the super market at the salt section looking at all the different salts for about ten minutes. looking for non iodised salt.
I saw iodised, rock, sea, reduced salt and table salt.
Is non iodised just standard table salt?
I had to leave empty handed as I felt a little stupid examining the salt section for so long.
