sometimes when I go to the LFS I feel like I should be the one working there. The owner actually calls me and asks about suggestions on what catfish he should get in. One time I went there and this guy had brought an oscar back in that was clearly suffering from fin and tail rot. The girl working had no clue and told him it was ich. After I made a few suggestions on what to do the LFS owner stepped in and told the people to listen to what I had to say. It's one of only 3 pet stores within a 100 mile radius of me. Everytime I go in some of these pet stores I find myself telling people true max sizes of the fish they are looking at because the little cards that they put up are dead wrong. How can an oscar only get to 11" max? or a tsn only get to 20" max? Limas only get to 9.5" max btw according to the card, but mine was 12" in 9 months. Sorry if I derailed the thread just seemed like I have the opposit problem of you lol. I also heard a lady tell a customer to clean her tank out completely and put a new filter system on it. They do custom cleaning on a lady's 750 gal sw setup and they only clean and water change it every other month cause it's so big that's all it needs lol, but credit to the lfs owner he's been listening and is improving.
