It is feeder day so i go to my lfs. So im looking at there crappy fish selection and came across three little fish. I asked the manager wat kind of fish they are, he said "idk they came in are feeder shipment".

Then he went on to say they are cichlids. I didnt say anything cause im far from a expert on cichlids but i do know my natives. I then told him they look like green sunnies.

He gave me all three for 5 bucks!!

Green sunny????

Tell me wat u think!!

I am probably completely wrong but aren't sunfish cichlids anyway, or at least related to them?
 
why didn't you just catch a couple rather than paying for them?
 
yeah I was in a local petco and they had 3 or 4 sunfish that they were selling as Assorted Africans. they were harrassing the 3 or 4 small africans in there and i offered to take them off his hands, but they wanted 15 bucks a piece for them. I told him that his africans were going to die, but there was no way in hell I was paying 15 bucks a piece for a fish i can get in the pond up the road. Either way, they have no idea what the heck they get in their shipments, ticks me off.
 
i dont really want any natives anymore so i dont try to catch anything small
 
guess that makes sense
 
not sure if its a "green" sunny, but definetly a sunny. you probably coulda paid what you normally pay for a feeder for that. i always see them in feeder tanks at my lfs.
