lol, you know both fish are interesting, and both fish are about as bland really.

I think a nice Midas might be what you're looking for...

Maybe those Chanco that were all the rage when I quit about a year ago (Basically a Midas/RD that gets past 16" or so)

Nice fish with a brute body.
id have to agree-a midas is a prettier fish and not as nasty as a devil or some macs-but ya never know.all fish act differently to be honest-i got a dempsey thats a big wuss.right now i have a oscar, red tilapia, jack dempsey and a texas cichlid in my tank.the texas cichlid is the original fish but will soon be dead by way of the tilapia and i am sure the dempsey will be after him.it is what it is-once the fish start getting bigger than the others they start to get dominant.thats just reality with the aggressors we all love.I am trying to get another tank b4 this happens and i may be lucky but the texas is all beat up already.

i do have a solution though-i could definitely get a fat sandwich out of my tilapia if i just fillet/bread and fry em up.

I don't know how correct this is, but in my experience trimacs are a little bit more prone to water quality then red devils are.

Other then that, both look amazing, especially when they get to 12+ inch and both have great personality.
