I figured I'd make a thread to chronicle the growth of my grow outs for both myself and anyone interested in Trimac and Sajicas.
I ordered six F2 Amphilophus Trimaculatus 'Rio Naranjo' 1.5" and four captive bred Amatitlania Sajica 1.5"-2" on November 22 from Jeff Rapps and received them the following day. All the fish came in perfect condition.
The trimacs went into a 125g display tank in my living room, and the sajicas into a 40 breeder that is temporarily in the living room too. I plan on bringing the 40b down to the basement once I put in a utility sink down there so that I have access to water.
The 125g is being filtered by two older AC500s, I also have a FX6 that I picked up during the Petsmart Black Friday sales, but I haven't connected it yet. The 40B is being filtered by two AC50, I also have an air pump/sponge filter I'll connect once it's in the basement.
My plan is to get a breeding pair of trimacs in 125 and a breeding pair of sajicas in the 40b.
