[h=1]So my buddy has a 75 gallon he doesn't want any more, so he's giving it to me for 80 bucks, not a bad deal I don't think, I don't know what all I want to put in it yet, I was thinking maybe 2 trimacs but I want to do some more research because I don't know a whole lot about them, or if that's even a big enough tank, any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks![/h]

Why did you post the same thread twice in the same section?

Oh sorry,3 times... Just post it once people will respond to you in time. Just because someone doesn't immediately answer you doesn't mean no one will. Patience!! Lol anyway never owned trimac so idk about that. I have a small jag but he's in my 220. I've heard minimum 100 gallons as mentioned in your other thread.

hmmm Discus, a nice plated tank with some drift wood.. and a heard of discus...

I don't know a whole lot about discus but i have heard that they are very difficult to care for, is this true?

No worries man, it's happened to all of us. DiscusGirl from reading his other thread he is new to the hobby, so maybe he should try starting out with a more hardy cichlid? I've never owned discus myself but have heard they need pristine water conditions and take a lot of effort. Maybe not the fish someone new to the hobby should start out with. Why not try Jack Dempseys or something like that to start out? Grow to 9-12",very hardy, and some can be quite beautiful. Could maybe get a pair in a 75, or a single specimen with dithers like Colombian tetras or something of that nature. Good luck man!

I wouldn't do discus either if I were you. Some people say they're not a big deal, but I had them for a couple years, and cost me a lot of money.
Perfect healthy fish just die for no apparent reason .
