Tropheus?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mixing can be done but once the fronts approach full adult size, you may find a tropheus or two turn up missing. Fronts are omnivores that include fish in their diet. In the wild, they feed predominantly on cyprichromis species so, small young tropheus may prove too irresistable to a front if a feeding was missed.

My Frontosa are babies, so should grow up with the tropheus.
how many would you think i could put in my tank?

Make sure that tank has ALOT of rockwork and caves!

You are going to probably want a group of about 17-20 minimum. This will allow the agression to spread around the group.

12 is plenty

Also is it a good idea to buy them from different LFS so not same gene pool?

If they are the same exact morph, yes! Just make sure they didn't come from the same wholesale source!
