i'd love to, but my dad would shoot me:screwy::confused::eek::WHOA::(
why he is awesome!

because he would say "you bought this fish for $40 when it was 3". when it got to 16" you traded him for $50 credit. he stayed in a tank way smaller than the one you have now. and now you want to spend $130 for him again?"

"lets see so you got a $10 profit - $15 for pellets for him thats -$5 and now -$130 you are down $-135.... not such a good idea"

i wud pay 135$ for him if i could house him!
y does ur dad care if its ur money?!
or is he buying it?

no it would be my money..... (i keep telling him "dont worry about what i buy (besides drugs) its MY money not yours, i earn it, i should be able to spend it!") lol

back on topic, kinda i've heard that arows wouldn't do well at the surface of a pond in AZ due to sunlight and water temp at surface

but ya i didnt think about that :(

Get a post hole digger and dig a hole 4 foot deep and measure the temperature at the bottom. If it measures 50ish, make that your pond depth (if higher consider 5 foot).

A chiller for that type of pond is impractical.

Don't angle the bottom, put in a shelf at the front or make pedestals from cement blocks to hold plants (turn the blocks sideways and the fish can use the holes to rest in).

No chiller needed.

3-400 dollars is really a tight budget. Look into saving a little more and you will be a lot less stressed in the end.
