tropicial fish tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i know otos are cheap and all, and are very good at cleaning tanks, but they die easily, and usually for no reason.
i've kept 3 in a tank and they all died within a month.
look up german blue rams, blue gourami, and raphael catfish. glo danio also add some nice color to a small community tank. and intersting fish (i think so anyways) is the upsidedown catfish

lol so true i want to set up my 40 gal native tank for tropcial but then i couldnt have a native so im waiting for my friend to get his aquarium and im gunna give it to him and then im setting it up for tropcial for oscars and a rtc mabye a piranna or 2 :)
:wall:
u dont stop do u
ok well instead of flaming u like i always do :grinno: il help u out
40 gallons isnt much of a monster tank
so get all of these big fish out of your head
oscars are a nono in a 40g mabey for a bit but not for long
oscars need about a 120 at full size IMO
a rtc in a 40 is the dummest thing ive ever heard
i would expect ur friend to atleast know the proper tank size for a rtc because of his so called 5 years of keeping them :bs:, as i since u are only about 12 years old with your annoying posts and threads
childish if u ask me
and a piranha or two??
ok well now we are sorta in the right area
but if u think u can have all of these fish mixed up ur dead wrong
piranhas (and im sure ur talking about red bellies) should only be kept with red bellies.
with the exeption of mabey a comon pleco
i hope ur not talking about rhoms tho
even tho i doubt u know what they are... they are wayyyy out of your league im sure
If you want a "monster fish tank" or "tropical fish tank" as u say
the only thing aggresive that u can realy have that u named is the piranhas
the rule with these are 1 per 20 gallons
but at full size one in a 40 gallon is going to be best
if they even live that long together without eating eachother

now i think its time for u to start using the search tools
and keep related questions on the same thread
its realy annoying the crap out of me
and im sure lots more people on mfk
we are here to help
but with childish antics
its a little difficult

yo man come on he is just tryin to help you out becasue you will not be respected on this forum if you act childish like this. Just be mature and dont take what he said as an insult take it as friendly advice cause thats the way he meant it. If you dont want peoples help why are you even asking questions. When people give you good advice just take it.

Done a few cleanups. Now please stop the arguments and keep the thread clean. I might as well suggest you read the forum rules before you post further. Thanks.
