Trouble looms at my house..

The heavy weight of the apples in abundence this year is bringing down my apple trees...... this is the second one.. so although i did not anticipate this expense we are calling experienced tree people to come and remove the 10 apple trees still standing.. i cannot mow around or under them without risking it.. scary..they come down without any warning.. And i thought living in an apple orchid was a good thing... that was 10 years ago.. these apple trees are old... there goes all those apple pies and apples for the horses.... be gone now... i am over it..

we pruned them all the time.. but the trunks are rotton... all the way through on some..

That's crazy. I would have never of thought an apple tree in a yard would turn out to be a bad idea over time. I like maple trees. Love the leaves when they change color plus they are big and don't poke your feet like pine needles do.

yes.. i never thought it either.. i would say to people.." i moved in to an old apple orchid".. i can hear them laughing now... i have all kinds of trees.. but all trees get old .. no matter what the type and become a jeopardy..at least i feel that way mowing..

lol... i have plenty of grass... but yes did that to have pastures for horses..back then took out about 50 apple trees..now i am doing it so apple tree doesn't kill me.. i mow under them... so far three are down.. about 18 more to go..all will be firewood and mulch

do u have an open fire? u can use the wood for that ...if not ship it over and il have it lol

we hired a guy to take them down.. we help too.. but he takes it down and cuts it up and takes it away.. we gave him the wood to do a better price with the tree removal.
