Troubleshoot my constantly sick tank, please

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am at work today so will update when I get home. Before I went to bed, it was still sitting at a solid 6.4 Strang how this went from a sickness issue to a Ph issue in a matter of days. Will keep you posted

The Ph is sitting at about 6.5. Not quite dark enough to be 6.6 not light enough to be 6.4. The plants seem to have stopped deteriorating and might actually be making a turn for the better. Possibly the water change took out some of the copper safe that was hurting them? Light still haven't arrived wich pisses me off, honestly. If things don't make a turn in the tank by Thursday, I'll be clipping plants and changing water earlier than the planned weekly change. I don't need the fish stressing out with the low Ph conditions and getting sick again.

They seem to be fine... the gourami was scratching two days ago... which is pretty abnormal for him. But all in all, the fish are doing well and the dusty look is gone. Coppersafe helped though it hurt the plants. Once the Ph is up and everything looks stabilized, I'll be ready to add a few more fish in there. We'll see in a few weeks on that.

Thanks... I have now ran into a bigger problem...yes another problem. I was sitting there watching TV when I here this semi-loud sound and see a tremor shoot through the tank water. I thought the stand had shifted and was about to break. After further investigation, I noticed the plastic on the bottom cracked about 6 inches on both the side and back. This is a used tank so I don't know if it was there already, but I really think that was what happened when I heard the noise. It seems like nothing is going right for me on this tank. :irked:
