i say keep him sunfish are so cool
does stuff like this happen often? should i keep an eye out on petco feeders? lol

Yes, sunfish are pretty common around the states, I have a fishing pod full of the little suckers.

Anyone know how a couple of sunfish, preferably bluegill would do with a LMB and juvenile channel cat?

ive had both equally sized juvenile bluegill and lmb together and when i took the decorations one time to clean and forgot to put them back it, the bluegill got territorial and killed the bass. they were same length but of course bluegill are a lot taller so to speak. this was just with juveniles, im sure adults or semi adults of the same size would do fine as bluegill tend to get more shy as they age (in my experience). hope this helps

Thanks for the answer. Probably doesn't hurt that the adult LMB is much larger than adult bluegill. Unless there's a some monster 16" blue swimming around somewhere :WHOA:

These are pics that i just took today, also i decided to name him Bubu like the fish on the Super Mario series.

Appears to be a Green sunfish to me which is not rare, but the fact that he gained 2 and a half inches in 3 weeks is amazing, he must be getting out of the tank at nite and raiding your fridge. These are nice fish but are always aggressive to some extent. Good luck :naughty:
