Do you stock or is there natural reproduction?

I stock, it's just a koi pond about 1300 gallons. Have some natives in it.

Has anyone ever though about putting trout in of of those below ground cisterns, (to keep the water cool)?

I have considered it for various fish, but have always decided against as the small openings would make it hard for me to see the fish which would defeat the purpose of me keeping them.

I would be worried about oxygenation, maintenance and flow in one of those
