True Red Texas breeding

Please forgive my ignorance when it comes to hybrids. I have not yet educated myself in this department.

If there's no such thing as "true" Red Texas, then why are some priced at $100+? I was under the impression that "true" Red Texas have no black markings and that was how you can tell pure from hybrid???

Also, can someone post a pic of Midas/Texas and Red Devil/Texas? I thought the only hybrid version was Flowerhorn/Texas? I just don't see how/why all 3 hybrid versions are all considered Red Texas...makes it a little difficult to distinguish which one is which. The Texas/Flowerhorn is pretty apparent by the black markings.

Boy, info overload lol.

Again, sorry for my ignorance on this topic. I like to learn about as many fish as I can, even if I don't keep them.

Happily married Mommy of 3 babies, 2 fur babies and 15 gilled babies
