The parents will do it all. They will take care of the fry up to the point of the next batch of eggs. I only fed the parents pellets. They will crush up the food for the fry. My Jag tank had a UGF and the fry would live the first week or so in the gravel and would find their food there. As soon as the eggs were laid, I wouldn't clean the gravel any more. The fry would have it picked clean by the time they were too large to live in there. About that time, they would start to pick at the floating pellets.
My parents would eat their young a day or two before laying more eggs, so pull out the babies when they are about half an inch or when the female starts to get thick with eggs.
