Before I start please excuse my ranting and raving, I was a bit angry today when I went to my mailbox to collect it for my parents and ended up finding some mail for myself. One piece being from my capital city Providence, i thought it was my new license coming in. Which in turn when I opened it instead of finding a beautiful picture of my shining face i found four mugshots of my vehicle and a ticket.? Yup I was about as confused as you are right now, let me clear things up.
I ended up finding in this lovely piece of mail a ticket saying that I passed a school bus while it was stopped picking up children. A $300 ticket and who knows what will happen to my insurance. I then continued to read and found out the bus driver filled out a complaint saying I disobeyed the law and that the bus took 4 lovely pictures of my car (and me) committing the crime that were taken from the school bus. Who knew school busses had cameras, i live in one of the poorest states and we are spending our money on cameras?
Needless to say, i did not take to this information very well and went online to find out rules for passing school buses in which to my immediate attention I found my answer that if you are on a four lane road traffic(like i was) and are going in the opposite direction(like i was) you do not need to stop for the bus on the opposite side.(like I did)
Now when the lovely police officer was filling out the ticket and reviewing the photos to be mailed to me, why didn't they notice this seemingly easy to notice detail about the incident? This was a mail in your check or report to court ticket that I recieved, my question is do you think that they are trying to pull a fast one on me and try to scare me into just paying the ticket and forgetting about it or did they just skip over these details about the offense.
It just bothers me to know this besides wasting this officers time, i now have to get a lawyer and take a day out of work to go to court. When if the officer in the first place noticed, i would have never been in this situation....
Needless to say I am already quite confident on my may 15th court date!
