The silver lining is that for most Ins companies and most states a ticket issued via camera is not chargeable on your insurance. I'm licensed in several states.

It's not a "Jersey barrier" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jersey_barrier , but i would say it is a type of "etc." see median- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_(road) .

I didn't see you state which road it was but I would do a google search like: median Rhode Island STREET 4 lane providence (Linked -> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...e+Island+STREET+4+lane+providence&btnG=Search ) and see if your DOT lists that section of road as a divided highway or a road with a median.

im the son of 2 laweyers, dads a prosecuter and moms a civil lawyer. if they screw up the police report or anything like that, they flush the case down the toilet. hopefully thats the case.

thats what i was thinking. my uncle was going like 126 in a 55 zone. at 4am. in the country. not that big of a deal. but, somehow a cop found him and gave him a huge ticket. well, he got to court with the ticket and the cop wrote it was 2009 when it was 2008. my uncle said "its hard to plead to a crime in the future isnt it." all charges were dropped and my uncle DANCED outta there. that cop was so mad lol.

That would be the worst, most dangerous school bus ever!

I cannot say whether or not that is a median or not, but I do know that in NC the left turn lane (aka Suicide lane) in the middle counts as a median.

dude go to sir winstons on south main. theres a judge there all the time he goes there and smokes between cases (cant remember his name cus i always go saturdays). tell him the situation im sure hell give you some good advice. or jjust ask tony and listen to him rant lol

Yeah,RI is a crooked state and whether you win or loose you'll still have to pay,between lost day of work,lawyer and even court fees whether you're guilty or innocent. If your driving record is good for the last 3yrs you can plead guilty with an explanation and it won't go towards your insurance

Well I went and took some pictures yesterday of the area. Found out that there is NOTHING in that middle area that seperates the 4 lanes of traffic. It looked like a curb but it was just sand...

Also only .2 miles down the road, there is a median seperating the road which had me confused because it is the same width as the area where I passed the bus, just not raised in that area....

Needless to say, i went and saw my lawyer today and he said it looks like the best I can do is get it brought down to a lesser charge, but we will be building evidence to try and get me totally cleared!
