As many things as we do now to protect ourselves from attack due to fear I would say its a fair assessment that the terrorists have won.
Oh and by the way......Muslim women cannot be scanned or patted down.
Great system we have here.

But some ppl can't choose not to fly because of work. And it is our right to fly

This is a good point. Although they are very few and far between, there are jobs where you have to travel the country and flying is the only option because driving or a bus won't get you where you need to be on time. Like I said previously though, those jobs are very few and far between. Either way, pat downs and scans are part of the privilege of flying so you take the good with the bad.

really? yeah im gonna hijack a plane with a gator. honostly this mentality is truly harmful to the hobby

i dont really like the scanners. imagine ur 5 yo little girl going through one. the person watching is a pedophile. congrats, he is gettin his jollys watching ur little girl basicly naked. every pedophile in america is gonna be inline to get that job

You took what I typed the wrong way. If you havent read the article lately there was a gator that someone brought on a plane that crashed and the gator was the sole survivor which is why I posted gator on there to show how crazy people are. The gator on the other hand I believe was on a small private flight, but nonethless someone still decided to bring it along. I never said that people would hijack a plane with it. I doubt someone would do that on a commercial flight and wouldnt get that far but I am just pointing out that people in general are crazy enough to do weird stuff like that.

Simply put: I am just saying that in general I would feel safer having security mesaures then not having them or having them to lienient where a real weapon (as in bomb/gun/knife/razor) could make its way on the plane that I may be flying on.

See, I look at things another way; if we're preventing attacks on planes, I don't see how that's a victory for the bad guys. I don't live in fear. The current events call for increased security at airports, and I have the common sense to realize that. There are times when pety 'freedoms' are overridden by security needs, and this is one of them.

I've yet to hear a good idea for how else to go about airport security. Everybody hates what the TSA does now, so...got any better ideas? K9s maybe?

Yhea dog's would be good. And no im not 12 im 14 and have seen more of the real world then most adult's

I say have two different planes going to each place....One without searches, and one with searches.

The one without searches would be remote controlled to prevent hijacking.

You also have to look at the feasibility of having mutiple K9s and trained officers at every airport in the country. What will it do to costs? The increased expense will have to be asborbed by the passengers ultimately. Where on the flipside, you have a scanner that everybody passes through and you're done.
