The Pink-tailed one is Chalceus macrolepidotus so they are a different species. They had one of those at the pet store I got this guy from but I like C. erythrurus better because of the scales. They appear larger and more pronounced in this species.

Thanks Harley. I was reading up on them and they said it's best to keep them singly if you don't have the room for 6 or more. They had one more at the pet store where I got this one from. Do you think it would benefit if I bought the 2nd one or will they fight?
I had two large ones in my 90, one died from injuring itself on the glass though.

thanks. they are my old barbs that I sold when I moved. but I have 4 babies I am growing up in my 150 gallon
