Turbo vs. Super Charger!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
with a supercharger, the power is there right away as you press on the gas. with turbos you have to be at a certain rpm for them to kick in. imo, just supercharge it if the car will be your DD

Ohh and I forgot to add, your g35 link doesnt work and the first link you posted was for Harley Davidson.

Yeah, it's a link to 1130cc.com it's a VROD website, The guy got his G35 and did a thread on that site as he modified it.

The second link was for G35 forums, a search for a particular member (Vrod Mike) His car has won shows and everything.

Check out his threads.

they already make an exhaust manifold for your car for direct turbo bolt on as well as intercooler, wastegate, tunrer.
id prefer the turbo set up over the other set ups not so common for your car. your car already has tons of power and turbo lag wont be an issue. just my opinion

Couple things I'll toss into this:

Superchargers and turbos will have different power bands. Where do you like the power? THAT and THAT ALONE will tell you which is a better choice for you personally.

A well built turbo set up will not lag. Lagging turbos just mean your over sized the compressor by thinking bigger is better. The turbo needs to be matched to the purpose. (Same can be said for the supercharger - too big and it's pointless, too small and it's a restriction.)

Both will have an impact on your fuel use... how much depends on how heavy your foot is.

most people nail it on your question and zoodrive sump it up..its up to you and your application dictate it..
to make it simple you want raw power (3krpm to whatever rev limit you have) or you want liner (1k- 4-5Krpm)?
for originally NA motor, it would be simpler to go SC
