Turtle beating death

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The title" turtle beating death" sounds like some happy story about a turtle nearly escaping a predator or nearly getting run over but could be a public service announcement warning kids to stay off meth. This is your brain on meth lol
Wasn't sure how to word it and wasn't going to spend alot of time on it. I got the 3 main words in it that I wanted so I left it at that. I suppose I could have said 'Man beats turtle to death'

That's true in their native range but I can tell you first hand that invasive (illegally introduced) pike are a huge problem up here. These systems are designed for trout, char, salmon and such. When pike get established that's the end of that.
invasive spread and native ranges are two different things. I'm all for removing/reducing invasive natives from areas they don't normally frequent. But outright killing fish that have been there for years just because you don't like their diet choices gets me heated fast.

I live in South Africa, for us, any fish is good to eat lol. Different fish just require different preparation. What is required in this situation is education. When killing an animal it must be done in a respectful and sustainable manner. If it's an invasive species just catch more and eat them.

you still have to be cautious about the fish's flesh having Mercury, PCBs or other contaminants in it - don't want to eat too much or it builds up in your system and makes you very sick, maybe death as an end result eventually.

I remember I had a catfish on the line and a damn snapping turtle eat the head and had both on my net. Scared the **** out of me since he came out of nowhere. I let him go and let him eat the cat after lol

Okay i get it he messed up your bait and your hook just let it go. If you want to kill it you better make some stew or feed something with it

Same thing happened to my son...made us both jump.
