Easy way to pull roots - get a sawsall and an ugly blade, cuts through anything. It's how we used to pull roots when I worked construction to do plumbing repairs. :)

Sh*t, why didn't I think of that? I HAVE a sawzall (and all sorts of ugly blades). :screwy:

Well, at least my axe worked better than the shovels did at knocking out the roots.

Its been raining for 2 hours, so my pond is now full. Unfortunately its not finished yet :irked:.

Sorry, I'm actually updating this thread in the Outdoor Ponds subforum. I've gotten the pond almost completely dug, I just need to take part of the bottom down another 8-12" and slope the whole thing towards that end. Then I'll buy the liner, buy a pump, and start building either my bog filter or my diy skimmer. I'm also going to go to the bulk sand company, and see about getting a bunch of rocks to put around the pond, to hold the liner down and as decoration.

I went down to the Falls of the Ohio on Sunday with my gf, and I collected a bunch of driftwood. Some really neat pieces. Check out the pics in the pond section.

Oh yah, I'll be posting pics every step of the way.

I'm ordering the liner(s), pumps, and skimmer late next week, and once they all arrive I'll put in the liner and start hooking things up with plumbing...
