Is it safe to house turtle with koi in a semi-large indoor pond as long as they cant hop out of it and have somewhere to perch? Something along the lines of red-eared sliders and such. thanks

Im sure if the pond is big enough, but most people on here dont have a pond big enough. You would need something where the fish could go far away if the turtle ever got angry.

My sister keep koi, frogs, and turtles all in one pond it worked fine until one day the turtles decided to walk away. Her pond was between 700-800

well i was thinking around a 9x14 foot pond, close to 4k gallons, i just thought that some turtles on an island in the middle would look nice. therell only be about 6 koi in there

I think it should be fine with those dimensions. I just keep one or two, just to be on the safe side.

well i just anticipate the stocking as if they were about 40 inch koi going in there so thats why there is only 6. but gf has always wanted turtles and ive seen a turtle/fish pond done b4 at my lfs.

note: in the picture that pond has a big cat of some sort in it, a pacu, two big oscars, and i nice sized pleco, although only the pacu and turtles are shown
