Tydus's Goliath Tiger Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks! He does great with the silver dollars. No aggression at all towards each other. The only time I observed aggression was yesterday when the goliath tried biting a silver dollar. I believe it's all due to him shedding teeth. The only time when my gatf gets spooked by my silver dollars is when I walk too close to the tank. Other than that, everything is great.

Here are 2 updated photos of my goliath I just shot right now. This is my best attempt of a yawn shot lol.

Update 10/30/13: Picked up an armatus locally as well. I know armatus are aggressive and have faster growth rates but so far they get along great. I'm trying to pellet train the armatus as well so I'll see how things go. Hopefully my LFS can bring in tarpons.

That GATF is starting to get some superb hooks on him! Looking nice!

The army looks like he's about the same size as the GATF. Be careful. The problem isn't the aggression; it's the growth. In 6-8 months at the most, that army should be big enough to eat the GATF. Young ATF tend to look just like bait fish. It can be a bad combo. Be cognizant of this!

Good luck buddy, keep us posted. :)

Thanks Rob and alright sounds good. I'm hoping my goliath will continue growing at a good rate. It seems the goliath slowed down when the brevis was being aggressive to the goliath. The gatf didn't eat as much anymore so I'm hoping he reverts to normal. I sold the brevis to a friend.

Looking good, it's refreshing to see nice local fish
