Toooo Funny.... You can really tell how our days are going by what we post and how it's worded and then how it's swallowed.... LOL

All in all it shows comradery.... I like the feeling on this site!!

Then get ready for a rant because I lost my job today! Son of, ahhhhhhhhhh just kidding. I mean I did lose my job but there'll be no rant. Rally did say he didn't mind and it wasn't an attack on AK. Just an observation, AK's post are much appreciated. No offense was meant, trust me when I say some people can be really sensative (and you too could lose your job).

Good info once again.

i actually have a question pertaining to crickets? i have been thinking about feeding mine crickets but should i have to worry about parasites or anything harmful of the such. i just dont know. i uses to feed my reptiles crickets and i dusted them and so on, should you do that for the aro also and if so what do you use for supplemments?

my aro loves pellets and bloodworms and brine shrimp. he wouldnt eat the krill though. i think he just loves to eat

Gut loading them wouldn't hurt. That's what I've done. I've never dusted, so I don't know about that. Also, most parasites are host specific, so I dont know if that would be high on the list of concerns. With feeders in general, I think fungus would be the #1 thing to worry about, even with fish. Parasites would be a greater threat with using feeder fish. Also, certain vitamin deficiencies can arise if those feeders are goldfish.

thanks, so how do you go about gut loading them? and what do you gut load them with. i have heard the term before just not familiar with it.

thanks again, dave

I'd just feed them a mixture of mixed fruits and veggies for a couple days. These can include carrots, spinich, apples, oranges, romaine lettuce, collard greens, potatos, sweet potatos, etc. You can also dust some reptile type vitamin powder on top of the food that you feed the crickets. This should do fine as far as gut loading them with healthy food.

Cheers,
Dave
