Type of Frontosa

I am going to vote mpibwe, but it is very hard to tell. I don't think it is a zaire. He has a flowing light blue color. Zaires have a little more solid colors. Whatever he is he is absolutely beautiful. Nice rescue. I can't believe that someone let some ugly oscars damage that beautiful fish.

thats a mpimbwe..heres a pictures of mines to show the difference..you could see the similarities between yours to my alpha Mpimbwe

this is my alpha Mpimbwe:

Definitely not a mpimbwe, the color it totally wrong. I would be willing to bet that is a Zaire.

the mask alone and body shape points to Tanz type..I have also seen Tanz type with color as blue as this one..you cant depend on color to identify a frontosa..

I think he might have to end up calling it a front LOL. But it is one of the nicer varients, one of the more desireable ones for sure. Why are we not thinking its zambian ? I asked that earlier but i dont remember seeing a response. Some of the zambians i saw the eye mask stopped around the eyeball. His does and his color is sure darker, like a royal blue....

I thought I would like to know but it may just be to hard to tell. He is my Barney and I guess Thats what we will call him. He a beautiful Blue but he was not that nice when I got him. If eed him those little frozen shrimp I put in my salad and cut up silver sides an he has become brilllient. Thanks for everyones help. This is a great place for info.

He sure has darkened his blue up alot. gorgeous. You and he are both so lucky lol.
