There are in general fish in three genus that are called giraffe catfish. Two of the genus are called dwarf giraffe catfish but some of them are not dwarf at all reaching 1.5' - in the genus of Parauchenoglanis

In the Notoglanidium genus, only macrostoma is well known in the hobby

Finaly the giants are in the Auchenoglanis genus

So on the Auchenoglanis, IDK what to tell you. I currently keep 4 "types" of the Auchenoglanis in the hope of eventually starting to figure it out...
