Yea, but the two are not exactly buddies. I personally wouldn't fault China at all if they didn't give any. I do praise them for putting aside the issues though.

Yeah,I understand that they are not on the best of terms.Its all about not looking like a bunch of heartless monsters I guess...I wasn't previously aware of the island disputes that the two countries had been embroiled in.

China donated $5 million plus 105 tons of supplies to Katrina, US sent twenty thousand dollars in aid for flooding in 1998(4000 dead) so I don't feel too bad about Chinese aid levels currently.
