u.f.o fish? (I.d PLEASE)

i have no say on the algae the tank is in front of the door and its open all the time so i have algae all the time already

Hopefully your not considering hillstream's for much algae consumption. They do clean but are no where close to a "cleaner" fish IMO. Their needs are on the extreme side of what most community fish need to thrive. Thriving fish, burn lots of energy and require lots of food to fuel said energy, in slower moving water tanks they survive but will do little to help with algae control. They really do need the "stream" in the "hillstream" namesake, it's their natural habitat.

(they get fat and lazy in the average hobbiests tank IMO)

nah it wasn't for algae i just thought they were cool and was thinking of getting some. i don't use any fish for algae control im not lazy lol.

these things are tough to keep I had no luck with them and tried a couple times. I also don't really think these are cool enough to devote an entire tank for. the cold temp and heavy water flow eliminates most fish as options for tankmates
