Have any of the U.S MFK fishing crew caught SH's in your local waters?

Tell us what they hit on.

how big they were

species (if known)

And if you killed em.

Had the debate in my fishing club yesterday (my topic).

I saw a few breeding pairs when I lived in Hawaii, Oahu to be exact. Couldn't get them to hit anything though. They have Channa striata introduced there.

I caught one in West Palm Beach, Florida on an olive zonker, thried to kill it but it got away before i could

caught one in the potomac with a dark brown zonker.I believe it was a northern snakehead. Didn't kill it because at that time I didn't even know what a snakehead was until a local fisherman caught one too.

I caught lots of them in Fort Lauderdale when I lived there a year ago and they will pretty much strike at anything moving. Coral Springs to be exact. They were very agressive and i didnt kill any. Unsure of what kind but it was fun

i have went after them in south fl around 3 times now with no luck fishing or netting
:irked:
but thats my luck i guess
others catch them, and one guy even caught a baby snakehead with his hat where i was
:wall:
:grinno:
and WHEN i catch one i dont think i could kill it :irked: sorry :irked:
but i will do this, all the babies i net i will use as bait :D

i caught one off a lake in rancho bernardino usein a dark green with red dots platic worm i think it was Northern i put it in a jar of alchool and sent it to my bio teacher.
hopefully ill get it back it be a cool room peice.
