I'm sure there has been some small studies done on the current effects of Sh's on Native U.S fish and wildlife populations, but i have not read any article confirming that they have destroyed masses of fish (being that curently they have only been found in certain location's and they haven't had the time to spread to all area's of the U.S. But to my knowledge they were only found in the U.S as of 2000, An outbreak of giants eating fish populations may have not already been seen in all places around the U.S, but given a few more years, even 10-15. you'll more than likely see the effects come into place.
fisherman have a resonsiblity to kill snakeheads, being that they are unnatural species to the area. Some of the small panic may be because of the look of the fish, but we all know they can pose a serious problem in times to come. Killing one or two won't stop the population, but it will slow the progression.
