My apologies is there scientific data to support their mass destruction on US aquatic habitats or fish populations?

there an invasive species and breed rapidly in warm water local.
I'm sure there has been some small studies done on the current effects of Sh's on Native U.S fish and wildlife populations, but i have not read any article confirming that they have destroyed masses of fish (being that curently they have only been found in certain location's and they haven't had the time to spread to all area's of the U.S. But to my knowledge they were only found in the U.S as of 2000, An outbreak of giants eating fish populations may have not already been seen in all places around the U.S, but given a few more years, even 10-15. you'll more than likely see the effects come into place.

fisherman have a resonsiblity to kill snakeheads, being that they are unnatural species to the area. Some of the small panic may be because of the look of the fish, but we all know they can pose a serious problem in times to come. Killing one or two won't stop the population, but it will slow the progression.

I agree on having them removed but i would be scared to kill one. Ive seen some videos and those things are preety mean so im too sure what id do with it.

A bit, yeah. It takes as much time to google something as to ask a silly question.

Top level predators as invasive species....common sense? :screwy:

Have there been any studies, on the effects they have had on their micro ecosystems? Id like to read some literature on it. Here in florida there are many species that are invasive, Cichlids= Mayan, Jewel, Jags, Midas, Firemouths, JD's I can go in, Pbass, even largemouth bass arent true natives to this state, yet they dont get the bad rep.....eventhough they compete more with the native species for nesting food etc...

Is there scientific date to support what? The damage that Snakheads have done in the United States of America? Yes there is a **** ton of evidence!

In fact, the purpose of this thread was to talk about what kinds of Snakeheads people catch and what they do with them when they catch them?

The creator of this thread wants a clean environment with no illegal statements being pushed around in HIS thread.

Its almost like me creating a thread about marijuana and the enjoyment that people receive when they smoke marijuana and then suddenly a few people decide to post "how much they have, and how much they are selling it for".

The guy simply wants to keep this thread on topic. I also know that moderators NORMALLY delete posts that violate the topic of the thread.

In fact if he is talking about fishing and people start coming in here talking about how fantastic it is to OWN Snakeheads in America. Then it should be deemed as a violation of the thread, because nobody is talking about "Keeping Snakheads" thats why they have their own sub section on MFK.
