Why not just filter through peat or add some extract to acidify the water knocking down the ph a little might help them settle them and the little bugs don't like a low ph. GoOd point Tom. This is temporary. I actually had to bump the water up a little to match the vendor's water. I'll lower pH with water changes in the next few days to around pH5-5.5. Also have a bag of almond leaves ready if necessary.

I'll be completely honest with you -- I actually found a part-time job for a month just to have the funds to buy those Heroina. I knew they were coming about a month before they showed up, and I was currently furloughed from my main job (isn't that always the way?), but I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity after waiting all these years. This hobby has turned me into a crazy person. :nilly:

Now I need to start breeding orange heads apparently.
 
Naw, I would have done the same thing ... and at least 3 of the voices in my head tell me I'm not crazy.

Orange heads??? Here I thought it was convicts that raked in all the cash. I think I've been doing it wrong.
