I'll preface the following comment by stating up front that I have never watched one of Joey's videos, at least not for more than a couple of minutes, until this one.
His story is no different than millions of other kids (Canadian and otherwise) who grow up in less than ideal environments. Sad reality, and I'm glad to see that he has turned his life around. Good on him.
Having said that, he lost me when he implied that he had something to do with the witnesses not showing up. It wasn't just what he said, but how he said it. That said a lot to me about who he is as a person, currently. I think that it's kind of obvious why they didn't show up, doh, and as others have already pointed out it had nothing to do with mr. tough guy. I find it difficult to feel sorry for someone who one second is crying, and the next still acting like he did when he was a juvenile delinquent. Putting it online for the world to see and hear didn't impress me either. That doesn't gain respect, at least not from me.
Just my Canadian 2 cents worth.
